The last time I restarted my weight loss journey, I had promised myself it would be different.  This time it was going to be a lifelong change.  

There was nothing worse than "starting again" - to lose weight, only to gain it (and always a bit extra) back a short time later,.  It was always such a terrible feeling in reflecting on the time, the effort and the ABSOLUTE persistence, dedication, consistency and hard work it took only to get too comfortable, and before I knew it, always and inevitably gaining it back.

I was stuck in a conundrum;  Do I resolve and understand myself as just NOT  being the athletic type?  OR.... Did I need to make a change that, despite comfort or discomfort, this "athletic" life was going to be my NEW LIFE?

I thought the change would come from being the best at...well... fitness.

Through MUCH TRIAL AND ERROR, and endless hours in the gym, learning the best from the best, I not only reached and surpassed my goal of weight loss and strength -  I have been able to keep the 100 pound weight-loss off for over 15 years.  I have found happiness in fitness.  I have found peace of mind through training.  I have found an outlet for any and everything life challenges me with and now,  I am now on a mission, and have been for the last decade.

I struggled with my weight since the age of 7. During my teenage years I experienced yo-yo dieting and weight fluctuation. While in university, I  weighed over 190 lbs and  stood at only 5’3″ (ok 5'2.5'' I lie). I had enough. While studying for a degree  in Psychology and Sociology I reflected on my past and began to understand the psychology behind the extremities of my food addiction.

This is when I decided to start my commitment of integrating a change in mind, lifestyle, fitness and eating that WILL last as long as long as my life does.  For that, my quality of life will be better given the life God blesses me with.
